Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Postberry ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories:
- Account information — such as your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form).
- Team information — such as team names, memberships, and invitations you send or accept.
- Connected social account data — when you connect a platform such as TikTok, we receive information authorized by you through that platform's OAuth flow. This may include profile details, account identifiers, OAuth tokens, video lists and performance metrics, and other data needed to show stats and to publish content you schedule in the Service.
- Content you provide — such as captions, media files, and scheduling details for posts you create or schedule through the Service.
- Usage and technical data — such as log data, device/browser information, and cookies or similar technologies used to maintain sessions and secure the Service.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Authenticate users and maintain sessions
- Display social account profiles, videos, and performance metrics you authorize us to access
- Schedule and publish content to connected social accounts when you use the Service's publishing features (for example, TikTok Direct Post)
- Support team collaboration, invitations, and account settings
- Send service-related emails, such as team invitations
- Protect the Service, troubleshoot issues, and prevent abuse
Publishing to a connected account happens only when you (or a member of your team with access) create or schedule content for that account in the Service. Platform rules may limit who can see published content until additional platform reviews are completed.
3. How we share information
We may share information in these situations:
- Within your team — connected account data, analytics, and content plans may be visible to members of the team where the account is connected.
- Connected platforms — when you publish through the Service, we send the content and related metadata you chose to the connected platform (such as TikTok) so the post can be created on that account.
- Service providers — such as hosting, database, email, and infrastructure providers that help us run the Service.
- Legal and safety — when required by law or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Third-party platforms
When you connect a social media account, that platform may collect and process information according to its own privacy policy. We only request the permissions needed to provide the features you use in the Service, such as viewing profile and video data and publishing content you schedule.
You can revoke Postberry's access to a connected TikTok account from TikTok's app permissions settings.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us, subject to applicable law.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete certain personal information
- Revoke platform access (for example, via TikTok's app permissions settings)
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
To make a request, contact us at support@postberry.app.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. International users
If you access the Service from outside the country where we operate, your information may be processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your own.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the revised policy.
11. Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to support@postberry.app.
